At The Rise, we strive to merge a healthy lifestyle with joyful living. All of our services promote both physical and mental well-being but you get to decided how you would like to experience them.  Whether you are looking for time alone to regroup and recharge or an invigorating social hour, we've got you covered.

A lift of warmth and wellness for your circle

We cannot wait to welcome you to our sauna and hydrotherapy retreat in the heart of West Cape May. Book a session and we will show you to your private room equipped with showers, towels and soaps, providing a peaceful, personal space to unwind and enjoy your time.

After your session, leave some extra time to linger, relax and connect... we'll offer a complimentary cup of tea you can enjoy in our lounge or on the outdoor patio.

The Benefits

Melt Away Stress Naturally

Across the world, sauna and hot water bathing have been rituals for relaxation, healing, and fostering community. Whether you choose to spa alone, with a partner, or a group, The Rise provides spaces to relax in meditative serenity or to strengthen your bonds and destress through social connection.

The Benefits

Enhance Sleep

Better health and better sleep go hand-in-hand.  Soaking in our magnesium-rich flotation rooms offers a powerful reset for the nervous system, decreases anxiety and promotes more restorative sleep.

The Benefits

Recover and Heal

Ease sore muscles in our hydrotherapy pool, sauna and magnesium salt floats.  Or take a cold plunge to reduce inflammation and recover from athletic performance more quickly.  And as a bonus, our compression boots help circulation and lymphatic drainage while simulating a therapeutic leg massage.

The Benefits

Boost Immunity and Longevity

Both hot and cold water immersion have been shown to strengthen the immune system and keep us functioning at our best.  Most exciting, we think, is that studies now show that the benefits to cardiovascular and neurological  health may be the reason for a 40% reduction in all-cause mortality risk for regular, frequent sauna bathers.

What is a Hydrotherapy Spa?

Hydrotherapy is the practice of using water to support the body's natural healing process. In fact, it is generally believed that the word spa itself is derived from the Latin phrase "salus per aquam", which means "health through water." The various therapies at The Rise are all rooted in water, harnessing its temperature, buoyancy, pressure and hydration to help you heal and relax.

What is Float Therapy?

Flotation Therapy is a natural way to relax your entire body and mind, reduce stress & anxiety, and help your body recover. Each Float Suite is bigger than a King-sized bed, filled with 11 inches of filtered water maintained at skin temperature and saturated with 1,500 lbs of Epsom salts. This allows you to effortlessly float so that your entire body and mind can relax. You’ll feel totally relaxed and as one with the water, likely achieving a calm meditative state.

How should I use Contrast Therapy and the Cold Plunge?

The most important thing is to listen to your own body! In general, a great way to start is to begin with heat. Spend about 10-20 minutes in the infrared sauna to warm your body and increase blood flow. Then move to cold, stepping into the cold plunge for as long as you're comfortable. For your first few times in the cold plunge, don't worry about the time; getting some part of your body in the water is a fantastic achievement! Over time you will get more comfortable moving between hot and cold and you'll be amazed at how far you've come and how great you feel!

What do you provide for guests and what should I bring?

We provide everything you need for a restorative visit. Your private room includes fresh towels and access to a shower with complimentary bath and body products. We do recommend you bring a water bottle and you may wish to bring a bathing suit, though many guests prefer not to wear one. If you're walking in or brought nothing, it's okay - all you truly need to bring is yourself!
